Fundamentals of MEV Racing

What is FPV?

FPV stands for First Person View. In the context of racing or driving, FPV refers to a perspective where the participant views the action from the vantage point of the vehicle itself, as if they were inside it. This is typically achieved using cameras mounted on the vehicle, which transmit live video feeds to a display device, such as goggles or a monitor, worn by the participant. FPV technology is commonly used in remote-controlled vehicles, drones, and virtual reality simulations to provide an immersive experience that closely mirrors the sensation of actually being in control of the vehicle.

What is On-Road RC?

On-road RC refers to remote-controlled vehicles designed specifically to operate on paved surfaces, such as roads, streets, or tracks. These RC vehicles are often modeled after real-world cars, including sports cars, sedans, and even Formula 1 racing cars. They are optimized for high-speed performance and precise handling on smooth surfaces, allowing enthusiasts to simulate real-life racing or driving experiences in controlled environments such as tracks or parking lots. On-road RC cars typically feature sleek designs, low-profile tires, and aerodynamic bodies to maximize speed and agility.

What is Sim Rig?

A Sim Rig, short for simulator rig, is a specialized setup designed to enhance the experience of simulated racing or driving games. It typically consists of a racing seat, steering wheel, pedals, and sometimes a shifter, all mounted on a sturdy frame. The frame is often adjustable to accommodate different body sizes and preferences, and it may include additional features such as vibration feedback systems or monitors for a more immersive experience. Sim Rigs aim to replicate the feeling of being behind the wheel of a real vehicle, providing a more realistic and engaging driving experience for enthusiasts of racing simulators.
